And a bunch of Atari 2600 games. In fact, all of my Atari 2600 collection is in here. Mostly in alphabetical order, with some other stuff just stacked on top of there because I don't play these very often.
I got my Dreamcast collection in here, PS3 games, a few of my Xbox 360 games. And then these bins here are full of the excess https://pheasantridgegc.com/. So, just stuff that isn't yet organized. It's catalogued, but it's not organized. And my loose floppy disk collection. I'm super proud of these. A lot of these never had boxes at all. This is registered shareware and games that I had a kid that was mail order and things like that. Most of these are not backups at all. Like, they're legit disks. And down below that, we've got more loose PC games. The id Anthology's in there, too, somewhere. I haven't unpacked that yet. And PS2 games. Because why not. Oh, and I got a Commodore PET. Love Commodore PETs. They're sexy. And since we're over here, may as well look at these shelves as well. These are looking kind of crappy actually. They're sagging a bit and they're supposed to hold 700 pounds each, but I don't know about that. This is all, like, Oddware and some of my computers. I have a whole lot of computers in storage elsewhere that I just don't have up anywhere, but... Yeah, these are like spares and stuff. Several Amigas, Atari ST. There's my Packard Bell! That's actually my first computer right there, at least the same model. I haven't gotten that working yet. A lot of these are just projects and things that I have to work on that are either not working or they need some work to be in presentable order, so, you know. They are just what they are and so they're here for me to access them, but I haven't really put much thought into it. And then I've got a nice bin here full of LaserDiscs! Mmm, LaserDisc movies are the better movies. Not exactly in quality, but just in packaging. And in case you're wondering, yes, I do have a setup for modern gaming, at least modern console gaming. Mostly I play on the PC, but in case I ever want to play anything on one of the three main doodads, then I can do that on this handy little shelf made of wire. But most of the time, I just rent games for them. I don't even buy them. I just buy whatever's cheap. I do indeed have a CRT set up to play mostly PS2 and original Xbox and Gamecube games. It's a decent little Sony Trinitron with some really surprisingly awesome speakers, and of course to play LaserDiscs as well. Mmm, LaserDisc movies! Oh, in case you happened to see it earlier, yes, there is a Red Baron pizza box on my wall. That's from my video. I bought that with a 17-year-old coupon. There's a reason for that being there. There's also a reason for these being here, and that's because they're cool! Old magazine ads are fantastic. And so is this print of the Garfield comic. actually from my birthday, and it's signed and personalized by Jim Davis himself. This is so cool! (chuckles) Classic Kurt Cobain poster up there because it's the music corner. Along with the "Back to the Future" cars just randomly hung up. Got some King Crimson going on the record player here. Ah, nice little Panasonic system Crappy speakers hooked up to it, but hey, it works! And these are my LPs. I don't collect them all the time, but I pick them up whenever I find something good. And if I find it for a really good deal. I don't like spending a ton on records. But I love collecting them when I can. Now right behind me here, we have a sagging table with a bunch of IBM PS/2's underneath and an iMac and the three computers here from different eras, as well as bunch more. Magazine ads that have been enlarged and printed as posters. These just make fantastic decor for a room like this, if you ask me. So that's why I put them there! But yeah, each of these computers is set up and ready to go. I've got this HP Vector here, it's like a Pentium 2. 386 NCR right here and a classic IBM XT. And yes, they are powered on... you can power them on and play whatever on here, and I do a lot of LGR work on these things whether it be Oddware or gameplay or footage for random DOS games. Here we have my red phone for DOS emergencies. I like rotary phones. (laughs) Got this not too long ago, cleaned it up. And I have these cassette tape holders here that are perfect for holding Sega Genesis cartridges that are loose. So, yeah, all of these are full of loose cartridges. I haven't found anything for displaying NES cartridges or Turbo Grafx stuff yet, although I have hundreds of those. But, eh, I'll find something for them eventually. And hey, look, the computer's on! Yay, it works! See, I told you. This is really nice just to have these set up and you can just play DOS games at any time! And one last thing here is the closet that I pretty much never open, because really it's just excess stuff that I haven't gotten rid of yet. Duplicates... Well, not really duplicates, but alternate versions of games that I have, and I don't need these yet, I just haven't gotten around to selling them. Well, that's all that we're going to do.

Why am I now... ...this squid? Oh, god, the camera's fucked up! 𝐎𝐇, 𝐍𝐎! Dismount. Escape. Escape!
(Laughing) Where. Where https://www.casinoslots.co.nz/microgaming-online-pokies? One at the start is still drowning in despair? ...what? I walked past it? Oh! I thought that was just an orange Pianta. (Laughing) I thought it was just an orange Pianta, guys. I thought that was just its style. It's like digital heroin. Grabbing a fucking Shine. 's like: [WEIRD DUCK NOISES] That was "Addiction Duck". Duck who is addicted to collecting Shines as if it was some kind of drug. Kinda remember being japed... ...by the watermelons. Quality. Quality enemy. WOOOOW. Really? Mario doesn't sound well. Alright, well, because of this little-- (Laughing) Wow, that was just... That was...a fuckin' brutal way to die. I'm not sure if this is the right way. Holy shit. What just happened? That fuckin' watermelon... Did some amazing thi-- wh-- You... ...bitch. Don't you burst my melon. You fffffUCKing Cumquacks. NO! STAY AWAY FROM THE CUMQUAAAACK! (Laughing) I don't think I'm supposed to be down here. Look at that, there's a mushroom right there. So when you said "jump off the side", you meant... ...like, live... ...right? Like... ...like, not die? Goodbye. And you just gotta line up your chuck. He's gonna toss me into the fuckin'...yep. Go chuck yourself. The amount of...fucking coins Mario's collected. And every time we see his house, it's, like, a little shack. Meanwhile, this motherfucker's workin' so hard to keep everyone safe all the time. And the dude's living in a shack with his brother. His man-child brother who won't grow up. And won't get a job... Other than hunting ghosts every now and then, of course. A speedrun this is not. Oh, that-- that tooth came off! I almost feel bad for the fecker. ...wot? W-what's happening? So the camera's upside-down and stationary. I was supposed to have died. FAAAIG! So, I mean, James Arnold Taylor is, has definitely gotten some voice roles since "HAAH HAAH HAH" I like how there's no real way to slow this thing down, either. GG. At the speed of sound. I was feeling good for a minute. People were like, "holy shit, Vinny did it on the first try". And then, like four other people were like, "pfsssh, it's not hard". (close to the mic) DIMINISH MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS, WHY DON'T YOU? Where's the pachinko level? Yeah, I wanna do another level on the first try. So that way people can be like, "PFSSSH IT WAS EASY." PFFF--(coughs) So. Heh, this is the pachinko level, this is the dreaded pachinko level. ["Heaven or Hell" from Jubeat plays] [Music pauses while Mario makes weird noises] [Music resumes] I'm sorry, what was the problem? I think Shadow Mario's just magical. So what happens is Renly Baratheon... ...decided to... ...um...try to become king, and his brother Stannis wasn't happy. So... Y'know, there was a vagina creature. So what happened is... So what happened is Bowser had sex with Melisandre. And then Melisandre gave birth to a shadow demon. Um, AKA Stannis Baratheon's Shade. And then it-- And then it went to go try to kill Mario. So that's what happened. Welcome. "This area is supposed to be completely covered in goop, something is wrong here." Uh-oh. (Hotel Mario impression) Nice of the princess to invite us over for dinner... ...but where the fuck is she?
"Stop the criminal with some water." I-I lost, completely lost track of the uh... (Chuckling) Why is this sparkle happening now? Oh no. I thought this stream was gonna go well. I love the challenge levels, I- I really always... [The background music gets stuck on the first note] Um... ...it's a remix! It's the one-note remix, everyone! (laughing) It's just this, or nothing. Diiiiiiiing... [The Shine fanfare plays, but the last note keeps playing] Hear that? Now it's, like, sinister. Now it's just-- just the cello. The suspense of this note is killing me, I-- I feel like we're in a horror movie. Jesus. [As he's speaking, the music once again gets stuck] Well, I don't wanna stop fuckin' playing... Now I do. No, no, I take that back, I now--now I definitely wanna stop playing. [The music gets stuck again] You just keep waiting for the note to change, but it never does. [Music freezes again] Daaaaaah... It's the victory horn. They're still blowin' it. [Music: Doooooooooooooooo...] [Vinny imitates the Pianta's gibberish out of anger] Lots of cool things are happening here. L--lemme see if I got a fix for this... Woah! Mario. What is happening? Ah, come on, what is this shit? (Laughing) How the fuck did I even do this?! I don't even know what the hell is happening to Mario right now, but I love it. Look at it, it's so weird, what's going on? The legs don't make any sense! This dude's just, fuckin', on fire. What is he doing, that he got himself set on fire, though? Aw, damn it, Yosh-- OH NOOOO, YOSHI! ...disintergrated! Like, the molecular structure of the Yoshi got ripped apart. Mind you, this isn't the same Yoshi, this is a different one, 'cause the-- the previous Yoshi is now dead. Y'know, it wouldn't-- it would be nice if the news would cover, like, a success story. Like a, not "video games have turned, y'know, gamers into murderers," or whatever. But, like, Mario Sunshine made gamers want to, uh, clean their room more. [Pianta: Noooooo!] (Imitating the Pianta) Noooooooo! (Tommy Wiseau voice) Don't be riDICULOUS, MARK! Oh, man. That's a little morbid. I dunno, something about the thing turning into sand and disintergrating hurts... ...my soul a little bit more than if it were just, like, to disappear in a tuft of smoke. ...I mean, you should go green anyway, as much as you can, I-- I... Y'know, that's...I guess. What. It's not, like, political commentary, or social commentary. That you should always go green. Oh, well, we're doing yellow! (Laughing) That was an accident! Get me off da squid. WHAAAAAAT?! You know why, 'cause I didn't go green. Guys, I dunno what to do. GYEP! BOH god, Jesus! Ooh NO, NOOO! Like I said: When in doubt, make it an RPG. Doesn’t matter what you’re dealing with. Slot car racing? RPG. Item shop management?
RPG. Golf? Heck, make it an MMO. It’s a dangerously broad brush. Heck, if you wanted to make a kid-friendly version of a pastime widely seen as a vice, or at the very least a formidable social ill, just make a pachinko RPG. Go ahead. Oh, you say you already have? Make another! Have weird anthropomorphic balls cavorting everyOH GOD. I DIDN’T THINK YOU’D DO IT THIS QUWHAT THE HELL IS THAT WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO MY EYES Behold Pachio-kun. He’s a pachinko ball, and he’s out to collect lots more pachinko balls in order to... well, to win. Greed for greed’s sake. The spirit of the gambler. However, instead of doing the smart thing and bellying up to a craps game or the blackjack table, he’s gonna break the bank playing Pachinko. Read: He’s going to fire balls into a machine with little to no control and just hope. A little too passive for my taste, but there is in fact some interaction here. You’ve got an overworld to wander around, full of game centers with different games. For each, you’ve got a profit goal to “clear” that game. Success in meeting this goal is largely a function of hitting the right things at the right time, causing all sorts of bells and lights and spinning things. However, even if you think you’ve found a sweet spot, your aim will begin to drift to one side or the other if you don’t keep adjusting. You can’t even set it and forget it. You have to pay attention to this monotony. Sometimes I say there’s a certain amount of luck intrinsic to a game, but here, it’s entirely luck. You might sit down at a loose machine, like you could in the game centers of those early Pokemon games. Back when, y’know, you could gamble in them and not just play that Voltorb what’s-its-face. You might get the super awesome jackpot, and just keep hitting it and hitting it. I did see some success, and felt kinda excited when it happened. But I don’t think I could get through the tedium of getting to that point over and over again. If you like problem-solving and figuring machines out, you’ll probably have a pretty good time, and repeated success can earn you points to buy running shoes or other RPG-ish upgrades. But in the end, you’re just an anthropomorphic ball, playing a weird physics simulator, and learning the hard way what a bell curve looks like. I’ll stick to Vegas Stakes, thank you.. I'M Beau Humphreys and I'm a personal finance coach. Normally I blog about personal finance at investwisely.ca or have a podcast called The Personal Finance Show, and that's obviously about personal finance too. But today I'm going to tell a little bit of my story, which is about addiction and mental health, because I think it's really important to talk about this stuff. People want to talk about it enough and it kind of made me into the person that I am today, which is it feels like a completely different person. To be honest, so I'm going to tell you a little story.
There are probably four major incidents in my gambling addiction of period, so I'm going to talk about the worst one today, which is when I was 25. I had a pretty bad relapse, so I was working at a job. I didn't really like so much well. It was okay, but I wasn't really enjoying it. I wasn't, I didn't see a lot of future there. I knew I needed to make a change, so you know what I thought was at this website. I'M gon na take a little trip to my 25th birthday. I found this thing called the repositioning cruise, and this was a like a one-night like two-day cruise for like $ 100 on my birthday, I'm gon na cruise, underneath the Golden Gate Bridge and it's gon na be awesome and it was awesome person under the Golden Gate Bridge, but what I didn't realize was this is probably the worst idea for me at the time because it turns out, as I found out later, I have attention deficit disorder and a DD. It made me afraid of everything and one of the things that I was afraid of mostly was new things and being in uncomfortable situations, because I didn't know how to deal with them. There'S really something about focus and being able to handle new things and be able to really pay attention to them. That was really a struggle for me. So going on a trip at this time was not a good idea, especially since I had been kind of okay with the gambling for a little bit. So I get on this cruise and turns out this a casino on board and I'm all by myself and I'm not feeling I'm feeling lonely and uncomfortable. And so I turned to the thing that made me comfortable, and so I went and visited a casino and just one thing led to another and I spent a little bit of money. So but at this point I now like, I have the bug again and I cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge, but I feel sort of guilty about my family, the casino like do. I have to tell people I spend money that I don't have it's always money that I don't have at this point. What I did was the whole rest of my San Francisco trip. I was either thinking about gambling or actually looking for a casino. I actually spent two hours walking around San Francisco trying to find a casino. I don't know, I don't think I don't think at this point. I had internet or a way to figure it out. So I was like maybe there's one yeah. It was pretty bad all. I could think about was getting home and getting home and gambling, and I didn't know how I just knew I needed to get home and Gamble. So I get home on the plane and the first thing that I do is just go: buy a bunch of lottery tickets and I wasn't really one to buy about a lot of ticks when I was younger. But that wasn't really like gambling to me. So if I just buy, like I don't know a couple hundred dollars of lottery tickets and it just starts to get worse and worse from there - you know over a couple of weeks, maybe two three four weeks from when I get back, I'm just not trying to I'M just like we really started taking extreme a gambling approach, like maybe thinking that I'm just going all out or I'm not feeling good. I'M not. I can't really tell you exactly what caused it. I mean maybe at this extreme fear of just not being able to be comfortable somewhere other than where I am where I currently was, and my job and and when I didn't want to go back to the job. And I was just miserable and there the way to cope was doing this gambling thing that I always did to cope with life and funny enough. I I had applied to a job a couple of months before and I figured it was long gone, but I heard back from the job and it was a job at may believe sports entertainment place. I end up working for six years after that and the live, entertainment department and there's a strike, and so they weren't really there was a hiring freeze, so they kind of were delayed in hiring. So they came to me a couple months later, and so I went and I I started the interview process and that the interview process made everything worse, because this is like super high stress and I can I couldn't handle it. I just you know at this point in my life I just couldn't, handle it without gambling heavily and since I was already into the gambling and just made it worse. Maybe if I hadn't started on the Cruz casino, it wouldn't be so bad, but I started, and so now I'm just like. Let'S do blowing through all the money that I have maxing out. The credit cards no money in the bank and I've gone through these three interviews for this job and I have to prepare all these presentations and I go through these interviews and it's going well and during the day, I'm at my current job at work and I'm I'M everything is going well during the day and then I get home at night and I just basically gamble as much as I can in order to cope. But I don't even think I was washing dishes at this point, probably not even cooking food, because I have a takeout. I would just go to McDonald's just anything. That was easy, anything that wasn't effort, because I only had enough energy to put in say dad. I knew that I needed to get this job, because the alternative was not good. For me, this kind of gave me an option for the future, maybe even a way out of the situation that I was in, where I might have more money that I could used to pay down debts so enduring this. This really kind of the worst relapse I've ever had one night. I just I hit the jackpot and it was twenty thousand dollars and that would have been enough to cover everything that I just spent since I came back from San Francisco and also some of my existing debt gambling debt, and so the first thing I was like This is great. That was the first feeling that I had was. This is great, you know. Finally, I can start to get out of this, and immediately after that feeling, I had a feeling that I wasn't ever going to get to keep this money and that I wouldn't even be able to hold on to it for another day that this this jackpot would Just make me want to gamble more, and the thing about finding this out about yourself is a really kind of a dreadful thing to know that you, even if you win enough money to pay back what you lost, it's never going to stick and it actually didn't. Even stick for another day and at the same time that I realize that I was going to hold onto it. I realized that I was never going to be able to get out of my gambling by gamma. There is no there's no solution to gambling that involves gambling, because gambling would just lead to more gambling and that always leads to more losses. The only way to get out of the gambling would be to stop and really try to figure out what was wrong with me, and it was causing me to do this, so it was kind of a good thing, but I didn't know it at the time it Was really just probably the worst time of my life, because no, I all my credit cards are maxed out and I probably had about seven. You know maybe five to seven at that time. Credit cards because I was just whatever way I could get gambling funds and I had no money in my bank account. So I couldn't even pay my rent, so I had to reach out to a good friend of mine and he he thought I stopped gambling a long time ago. It was a very private thing for me, and so he was furious that that I was gambling again, but he did agree to lend me the money for rent and I told them that he could you know, have full access to. If you are taking IELTS it’s obvious that you want to get the best score that you possibly can. For most candidates, the hardest part of the test is the writing part. When students have to sit down to write the tests most of them feel overwhelmed. As a student, the best thing to do is to understand the structure of IELTS which is divided into 3 major parts namely the introduction, body text, and conclusion. After doing this, you should be aware of the points that you need to put in each of these sections. For instance, in the introduction, you should look at the effect that you want to create. You need to know the topic, understand how you feel about it and keep the best formula so that your essay can flow. In the writing test, most topics are of general interests. Task 1 In task 1, you will be given a graph, a table, diagram or chart and then asked to summarize or explain the information in your own opinion. You may be asked to describe and explain the idea, explain the stages or just talk about how something works. Answers in task 1 must be given in an answer sheet and must be answered in full. In this task, the examiners do not accept any answers in bullet form or short notes. You must write on the question paper which you cannot take outside the examination room. Moreover, you are required to write in academic or a semi-formal style and include all the relevant information that you are required to answer. As a candidate, you should also note that you will be penalized if your answer is irrelevant or off the topic. More so, copying from another source is not allowed. This task generally tests the student’s ability to identify most relevant information and trends found in the graphs and give a well-analyzed overview of the same in academic style.
